Battery Settings for Every Tariff
Find the recommended charge and discharge schedule for your electricity tariff and inverter brand. Select your tariff below to see exactly what to set.
Before you start
- - Check your inverter clock — ensure it's set to GMT (not BST). Many inverters don't auto-adjust for daylight savings, which will shift your schedules by an hour.
- - Don't span midnight — most inverters require you to split time windows that cross 00:00 into two separate slots (e.g., 23:30–00:00 and 00:00–05:30).
- - Keep a reserve — we recommend keeping a 5–10% minimum battery SOC to avoid deep discharges and extend battery life.
- - Rates change — tariff rates and off-peak windows are updated periodically by suppliers. Always verify your current tariff details with your energy provider.
